For those of you who don't know, J.S.R.S. is a client side sound mod made for armaII. It replaces the sound of almost every weapon in DayZ, and adds much needed realism to the gunshots within the game. Note: Make sure you set your launch options in DayZCommander to the following (including quotations):

"-mod=@CBA_CO;@JSRS 1.5"

Please also note that the extra awesomeness doesn't come for free. It can and will draw more heavily on your computer's hardware, so I will include the following warning by Venthos (who knows a lot more about this stuff than I do):

WARNING: Use of JSRS involves lots of new game logic that infinitely loops to do things like ambient noises in the distance and many other features. This adds more work for your computer to do. If you find that zombies aren't spawning, zombies/players aren't responding to your bullet hits, loot isn't spawning, the combat system is getting "stuck", etc. Then that means your computer/connection cannot handle the added load of JSRS with DayZ and you should disable JSRS.

Either I installed it wrong or its not working... I followed the instructions on the website and it doesnt seem to be working.

Yes. HUGE improvement!

On a side note was any other mods added along side JSRS? I noticed that it was much easier to move through door ways and around corners. Was that movement mod added or is it just a figment of my imagination?

ST mod helps with gun collision, but I don't think it's included.

I am still crazy and haven't noticed a great deal of difference.

A have noticed crunchier grounds, shells hitting the ground after firing, and what seems to be extra clips and chains from my garb dangaling when running.
