Well, if it has been already given a Metascore of 92, I believe this is permanently free. Both me and my 15 year old brother will get on today. Hopefully you guys get to meet him.

yes TF2 among a few other games will now be permantly free to play through steam. steam has finally started hosting free to play games or games that have been around for a very long time and that were very popular when the game was first released. currently there are 5 free to play games on steam. when on the store page of steam in the search box type " free to play " to see a full list of the games that are free to play
