I went back and enabled the friendly URL's. I had tried this previously a few weeks ago, but was missing a rewrite rule which broke our content pages so I restored from a backup. I later found the issue.

Meta descriptions, canonical page links, and redirections will also take place automatically.


"What does this mean for me?" you might ask......


Well, instead of:

www.clanbbf.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=52

you will see:

www.clanbbf.com/Forum-Private-Forum

only if you have permissions to see it (log in to see the private forum, otherwise you get an error message...I'll customize those error pages later too....)



This applies to forum based links like:

Users - www.clanbbf.com/User-BBF-Paco

Forum - www.clanbbf.com/Forum-General-Discussion

Threads - www.clanbbf.com/Thread-TeamSpeak

Calendar - www.clanbbf.com/Calendar-Baptized-by-Fire-Events


It isn't working for forms or the gallery at this point.


Your old links should still work, and will be redirected to the new ones. Google will slowly start indexing our new links as well and our sitemap will be automatically generated.
