If a game comes out with a midnight release, do people on the eastern coast get the game before people of other time zones?

On steam, yes. Tons of people change their time zones to New Zeland time so you can get games like 12 hours early or something from EST

You are weird. I had to do that with BF4 because Origin servers hate me and DL at literally 150 KB/s... Where as steam gives me ~15 MB/s

I know I know. I even sat in line for BLOPS I to come out (because i was a total nerd and the fiancee bought the actual copy) at gamestop when everyone else was getting it for Play station or XBOX i was like the only PC gamer their got it home and bam took like 3 hours to download.
