It is with a sad hart that I must inform our members and those who knew him, that Richard Write better know here as Itchy has passed away. He was the last CEO of Clan BBF, a long time leader of the clan in many games and he was a friend. He will be missed.

Rest in peace Itchy! He was a nice old man (albeit at the time a bit scary back when I joined).
We never had a game in common but he was often online in TS so we got talking a bit at least.
Good man, he'll be missed.

I personally didn't know him all that well, but he was well respected here and a true leader. We used to joke around sometimes saying 'Watch out Itchy's gonna come down here' if someone was misbehaving in the Call of Duty channel of Teamspeak, haha!

Did you guys know that Itchy is actually the oldest registered forum member (from the old data that was left intact). He has a user registration date of Sept. 2002. Damn that's a crazy record!

Since he was already a clan hero before his passing, I updated the 'Clan Heroes' page to include a short blurb about his passing and also switched his rank to Clan Hero instead of 4 star general.

I knew this day would come but that doesn't make it any easier. If anyone finds any memorial service online, let me know. I didn't know his sons, but one of them was bringing him food during the pandemic from what I understand.

I'm thankful we had so many great times with Itchy. He outlived his wife and kept gaming for quite some time. He even wrote a book with some of the clan members being used as character names. He was a great BBF member and friend to many!

I'm glad I was able to chat with him on the phone during the pandemic and thanked him for being a good friend. He will be missed.

When I met Itchy it was on the test Teamspeak server we hosted for free as a trial server. He would hop on and create a channel called ItchyBuds for his friends and him to use. I'd hop in and chat for a bit, eventually recruiting him to join BBF.

In some ways, he was a father figure to me (and other members I'm sure) because he was older and wise, helping me through a few tough decisions over the years and was always been willing to listen without harsh judgement. Very few people have been able to provide that type of friendship throughout my life and I'll always remember Itchy.

Back when I met him he had a website. I wish I remembered the name so we could check the wayback machine or see if it is still up. Anyone know the URL? He had pictures of himself bowfishing and multiple lines in the water out the back of his boat. Because I grew up fishing we immediately made a connection talking about fish and I was fortunate enough to have gone fishing with him when I visited.

He was a big guy...biggest friend I've had. But that didn't stop him from picking me up, introducing me to his wife, and taking me out fishing. We didn't catch anything spectacular, but it was one of the best days fishing, not because of what we caught, but just being there with him in person in that boat...it was fun! I can still picture that big, rugged, santa claus looking Itchy with his tiny bait fish...I'll go find the picture to post.

Itchy was always willing to help the gaming clan. He was there playing Battlefield with us, never complaining, but always following orders from his younger Game Commander. He had some epic builds in Minecraft too. It would be interesting to pull up some pics of his builds if anyone has some to share. He must have spent more time than any BBF member playing Minecraft.

Anyway...it's a sad day knowing that he is gone. I'll admit...I cried a bit. He was a once in a lifetime type of friend and I wish I could have spent more time with him.

Muggermadison reminded me of Itchy helping in World of Warcraft too. I remember our first night together in WoW playing in Coldridge Valley. Man...fun times! What I'd do to go back in time to have some more nights gaming back then. We had fun grinding and Itchy loved to help BBF members level up. Itchy was always willing to lend a hand. Those PVP raids were a blast too.

I'm sure some other members have some great memories to share. Itchy played many games and gaming was a big part of his life. I wonder if we have any video...

Today, part of me was wishing it just wasn't true and he would show up to tell us we're not rid of him yet. lol Every time I would chat with him on Teamspeak or on the phone it was like a day hadn't passed. I could tell the pandemic was getting to him though, as it wore on many of us.

It was really odd though as I don't really cry much, and when I was looking at his pictures and remembering all the good times we had, I really did get choked up. My wife had called to say sorry and I broke down.

Gonna really miss Itchy, even if we didn't hang out much in the last 8 years or so.

RIP Itchy. It was always a pleasure to have a friend such as Itchy on and have someone so willing to help. I would jump into WOW just to play a short Stint but Itchy would insist on helping me so I would stay on longer than intended. He was a great clan leader but always seemed more like a great friend you wanted to support. I regret that have not been around to play more but work and family have me dedicated elsewhere. He will be missed,

What can I say that I havnt already said on the discord server itchy was not only a great leader but a amazing friend we as a group spent countless hours in wow playing together on the alliance side.

Whenever I needed a ear he was available whenever I needed help he was there whenever I had a hard decision to make that was either related to this clan or my life he was there to offer unbiased often honest advice.

He will he missed terrible

Btw Paco it's good to see you around we didn't exactly part on the best of terms most of which was my fault and I'm sorry but all of us were quite close to itchy its been too long since we talked I would like to talk to you again.

Ias for itchy he will always be on my friends list stared as a favorite on my bet account.

I plan to send a letter to Itchy's address in hopes the executor of his estate will get it and provide more info. It would be the Greatest thing if Itchy replied with "what are you talking about", I would take the heat a thousand time over just to hear him say that. I'll post here, Facebook and Discord if I hear anything back.

RIP Itchy! I can remember talking to him a quite a few times.
