Hi, I am looking into getting a portable external HD that works between both PC and Mac. I know that if you format on windows, it will work for mac as well for most HDs. But which brand would be better to get? Amazon links would be helpful as well :)

what is your budget? what size hard drive? any specific color? and any other specifications would help.

Dun care bout color, they mostly black anyways. Typically i want to spend under 100 bucks.

i myself have a 1tb seagate external hard drive which has worked reliably for a little over a year now so i trust the brand enough. there are a few other brands like hp and toshiba if you prefer those but my seagate has served me well. here is what i found that looks decent

though im not 100% sure it works on a mac

Western Digital is one of the most trusted Brand for HDD
you might want to consider them as well

+1 for wd, have a 1.5tb external for my games on me ps3 and works fantastic
