What is a good headset to invest into. I would rather pay 10-30 bucks for one, but I am willing to go to 80-100. I, just now, have pulled the wires in my headset by accident (lucky me) and need a new one. I usually buy a new pair every 1-2 years because I go through them way to quickly. So what are your recommendations?

Logitech Comfort. They're around $30 I think, but they last ages and are the most comfortable headset I have ever used. Decent sound quality from the headphones and mic, too.

I got a Razer Megalodon for about $70US from Ebay a bit ago.. a "flood model" that was unused. Box was scuffed, the headset was in perfect condition, untouched really. Absolutely love it. If you can find the Megalodon for the Carchiarra prices, you jump on it.

The little control module helps keep the cables where they should be so you don't tend to drop it on the floor and run it over, etc.

This is what I use store.billnic.com/marodystpche.html at a price of $15.98 the work pretty good. This is my 2nd par from the Billnic Company and I think there great and not too much to replace them if you break them.

When it comes to veritility, voice quality, knowing the gov't can't listen in and you can get a great meal from it, I suggest this;

Here's what I can tell you from past experience's with going cheap on headsets, they won't last long. My friend has burned through 2 Razer headsets in 6 months, aand he keeps things in GOOD Shape.. better then me, I went through 3 turtle beach's in about 2 years. I've been using the same pair of Trittons AX Pros, (Retail about 200) for nearly 2 years with not a single problem, they work like a dream. Save up the extra money buy a good quality headset then you wont need to invest for 6 years! Plus if you spend the extra bucks you'll get better sound/mic quality too. My headset is true Dolby 5.1 Surrond Sound, and the mic quality is amazing or so I've been told xS

Or do what Death Suggested, cause at 15 bucks, replacing them every 6 months wouldnt even be costly.

I agree with chaser on any Turtle Beach headset. I use it for Xbox and PC, and it's durable, good sound quality, long cord, and has a good mic. I've had it for 3 years now and no issues the whole time.
