As for cooling I think ill go with all the stock fans I get for the CPU and vid cards but I do want something for the HDD and SDD what do yall think about these?

I know the SSD is overkill but I want a 3.5” I already have plans for my 2.5” and what CPU should I go for the 965 or 955?
I was planning on going with 1 GTX 470 but if I go with the GTX 460 I can go SLI which I wanted to do in the first place.

Also I want opinions on the power supply I know it’s a little more then I need but I’m thinking about future upgrades.

Any input would be great

Now if I go with the 965 CPU I’m at like 1,509 if I go with the 955 I only save like 15 bucks.

Since my laptop went poof in the fire I still have my Win 7 64 bit CD in a box somewhere so I don’t need to buy another OS disk that way I save 100 bucks and can spend it somewhere else hints the SLI.

Well I was just caught by the fiancée and was asked why the ---- I needed 400 for a vid card and tried to sucker her into it but she said no so this 470 will have to work for now hehe.

Ok still debating on that PSU so I found a brand I know will do great and the reviews are great.

Also I found out my laptop RAM cards are 200 pin and I found this adaptor.

Its not going to be a permanent fixture just something I can use to take info off my 4 200 pin RAM cards.

I just bought that card (or at least one similar, same chipset). It has more than handled anything I've been able to throw at it. you probably wont see a need for Sli for a while with it.

I don't see anything wrong with the other choices you've made, sounds like a pretty strong system. Sorry about the fire, I can't even begin to imagine what that is like.

e response but I changed a few things around lol this is the last time I keep trying to add/change things but I’m finally to the point where I have reached my max.

I’m picky on my mouse and keyboard I don’t want to buy a gaming one until I can try one out and I’ll go with an OEM OS because it’s cheaper and I probably won’t be putting it on another PC anytime soon.

May also change the monitor it just depends on what is good when I purchase hopefully in the next 2 weeks. Where I’m sitting now before SAH and such I added up 1516.85 now when I put it all on my list in Newegg and combo what I could I ended up with 1389.87 before SAH Add 23.60 for SAH and I’m sitting at 1413.47 that’s just over 100 in savings not bad at all.

The HD was out of stock but I did auto notify and they will usually give you a discount for it when it is ready so hopefully I’ll get that discount at about the time I buy.

Im just glad ill be able to compete with the big dogs now yay no more gaming on laptops for me.
