So I wanted to come to you all and see what you thought about XFINITY.

Personally I hate AT&T but right now I have their cheapest DSL service because U-Verse isn't available here but I don’t care for their support their offices are only open during specific times and it seems like their sites and phone services are down or your unable to reach a rep when the bill is due.

Currently we have TV thru Comcast and are thinking about bundling our TV and internet which means ill have faster internet since the DSL is about 4 mbps download Vs. the 20 mbps with boost from XFINITY.

So from all of you out there is it worth it or should I try to look into other options that my area has to offer. How's the customer service?

AT@T is GARBAGE. DO NOT GET IT. I have their U-Verse and ohmahgawd, it is terrible. It fluxuates terribly, and it is constantly crashing.

When I had Verizon, they worked pretty good.

Im not even American, but if you've got the money, Verizon is amazing, they offer some of the fastest service in the USA from a "major" company.

It's been ages since I've had Charter for internet, and even back then it was hit or miss. At the time I lived in an apartment complex smack in the middle of town and I had nothing but good things to say about Charter. My friend, who lived in the same town but out in the sticks, would rant all day long and into the night about how his internet kept dropping here or there. You'll probably be better off playing it by ear for your area. I'd ask locally if any of your close neighbors have xfinity service at their house and see how they like it. If you do swap to cable you should also pay attention to your network to ensure you are getting everything out of comcast that you pay for. For modems, that means looking for the latest DOCSIS variant (currently that's DOCSIS 3.0).

I have a relative who uses Charter. His internet is cheap, fast, and did I say fast? Holy shenanigans its fast. And their customer support is good.

F1sh is right though, play it by ear of your area. Ask around. Generally cable companies offer better services than these major retail scums whom just want a contracted paycheck.

I have Comcast here in Washington State, I've had it for (a very long time) ever and pay about $80. or so a month for TV in internet. It was higher but they dropped it $20 when I told them I was going to drop them for a cheaper Co.
Just screwing with them to see if they would do anything for me.... it worked
Comcast almost never goes down and is always working fine for me.
Service sucks, if you have to go to a service center plan to be there for a long time
last time there were like 40 people ahead of me and like 4 workers helpping them.

Speed is a little slower then I like 12mbps but it works for me and I dont get much lag. Not paying them more to speed it up.

Im also looking for something I can use on my farm so I can keep playing in the summer, no Comcast there. Good luck.
