To all Baptized by Fire Members -

As noted on the news bulletin which was just released here, clanbbf.com will be temporarily unavailable on Saturday while we perform a necessary maintenance. During this maintenance window we will be backing up our database files in preparation for a move to our new website structure which will be launching later this month. Following the down time on Saturday until we go live with our next website design later this month the MyBB forums that we are currently working from will remain active. However, any posts made to the forum during this time will not transfer to the new site, nor will they count towards your post total on the new forums.

Also occurring when the website returns to service Saturday afternoon will be a temporary closure of recruitment. We realize that having recruitment closed for any period of time is not an optimal situation but it is necessary to ensure that all members are transferred properly to the new forums. Rest assured that we are striving to keep this closure period as brief as possible and are aiming at a duration of no more than one week.

Please be aware that the act of transferring from one forum software to another may cause complications in certain areas. Some examples are...

• Stored private messages may be lost. We ask all forum users to make back up copies of any private messages that you wish to keep.
• Pictures or files attached to threads may be lost. Anyone who has an important document or picture as a forum attachment should make a back up copy of it.
• Custom avatars or signatures that are hosted by the forum may be lost or have broken links. Any forum users that use the forum to host their image files should back them up.
• Polls that are currently in place on the forums will transfer over. However, the actual names of people who have participated in polls that originated on the MyBB forum software will not show on the new forum. The polls that transfer will only reference the total number of individuals who voted for each poll option.
• There may be other areas as well that might be affected by the change. We ask that everyone remain patient leading up to, during, and after the transfer process. We will do our best to straighten out any problems as quickly as possible.
