So, for any MMO or Final Fantasy fans, you may know FF XIV was a HUGE flop. Failed, and was closed in its first year (Or two?) but Square has completely overhaulled the game (They really made a new game in the same world as FF XIV) hence a Realm Reborn.

It is going to be on a Pay to Play model, with 30 dollars to purchase the game as well, it seems you can get a 180 Supscription for 12.99, if I'm reading this correctly (Which I might not be) a full year sub will be 26 dollars. So your first full year with the game is 56 dollars if you get the base game model, though there are a few special editions.

I myself am a large FF fan, but XIV was such a flop out of the gate I didn't even play it, going P2P is risky by Square, and I will be waiting for a couple of reviews before putting out the cash for this game. But if some other BBFers show some interest maybe when it launches in late August we can get some people playing!

Going to be playing this with some non clan friends during the open beta august 1st~ since there is no data wipe between beta 4 and full release it gives us nearly a month advantage over people who sit back and wait for post release reviews.

It could also save them money and time on a game that could still very well flop after a few months

we have a large enough group in beta 3 that's enjoying it currently even if the game flops if they dont shut down the servers we can survive as we have more than enough for all announced content types
