As you have probably noticed by now, both CommanderZion and Spartanbeast14 have been banned.

I am deeply grieved that the situation had to go to this extent, and I hope we will never have to go this far again.

So you may be asking, what exactly happened? Well, I'll tell you the full, uncut, and honest story.

When Zion first joined, we were alerted by several cadets that he was running a dedicated server that he payed money for. As you can imagine, this sent up some major red flags in regards to double clanning. The DC at the time (Ari, Exo, DrD), as well as Chase and I, launched a massive investigation in regards to these accusations. After about a week of digging around, we finally decided to finally confront Zion. Zion apparently copied many of our plugins, rank structures, and our spawn itself. This obviously didn't look to good for him as you could see, and when confronted, he claimed it was for "strict testing purposes" only. He said he has always been interested in learning about how servers work, and saw his server as an opportunity to expand. However, through the DC/CLB investigation, it was uncovered that he also intended to eventually break away from BBF to use his server as a minigame server. Once again, a double clanning issue. We struck up a deal with Zion since he seemed very knowledgeable about servers, offering him a officer position to help us out as a pre-established clan as long as he shut down his own server. He agreed.

Zion seemed promising at first. However, as time continued, he started to slack on his responsibility and duties as an officer. He would often have sexual/suggestive conversations with cadets/members, whom would in turn complain to me or Chase saying they felt uncomfortable about such topics. I'm sure many of you have also noticed that he tends to bad-mouth and disrespect Chase. He often would insult Chase calling him basically lazy and stupid for not doing a 100% perfect job on the server, and very often to his face directly. As you can see, this offends not only all the staff, but the DC as well. Chase has worked extremely hard on this game for us, often jeopardizing his own family relationships to make us happy. It is one thing to offer constructive criticism to help improve the server, but to insult somebody and not yield any suggestions on improvement is wrong.

When Zion initially got second LT I made it clear to him that he would be watched very closely since we had the issues in regards to double clanning when he first joined. He seemed to be doing well, hence the reason we decided to promote him to captain. We thought giving him a promotion would encourage him to be more active in regards to the technical side of the server, and help us even further. We were wrong. Instead he would [font=Verdana:bamrlsa4]often shoot out statements that are unnecessary and fail to actually help with problems. The reason to promote him to Captain was because we felt he had invaluable knowledge on plugins and could lend assistance and eventually take more responsibilities. Thus far he showed that he would rather offer little unless accompanied by negative/rude comments.[/font:bamrlsa4]

[font=Verdana:bamrlsa4]So we demoted him back down to normal member. We encouraged him to stay active and be a productive member of the server, and maybe one day we could repromoted him to officer if he cleared up his attitude issues. Well thats when things went down hill.[/font:bamrlsa4]

[font=Verdana:bamrlsa4]Apparently he never did shut down his own dedicated server, but instead changed the IP to hide it from the DC and CLB, and continued to work on it. We found out about this roughly the same time we demoted him. Again, since double clanning seemed to become another issue, we started another small investigation.[/font:bamrlsa4]

[font=Verdana:bamrlsa4]Jump froward to today, the 27th. Cpt Byrn is sitting in teamspeak when he over hears Zion discussing with several guest and cadets about his own server. Zion at this point has plans on leaving the clan because he starts to tell cadets to advertise his server on BBF for him. Spartanbeast14 says he will glady advertise for Zion, but will wait until Byrn (whom he thinks is AFK) leaves so he does not get caught/banned. Byrn, shocked and unsure what to do since he is new to his job alerts Mr_DuCe.

At this point Mr_DuCe (CGC), Colonel (RC) Smiggy, Byrn (Cpt), me (GC), and DrDeath (General) are in a meeting about this issue that is starting to abrupt. Since Zion and Spartan seemed to have clear intentions to leave BBF and to advertise/pull other members/guest to Zions server, we decided to ban their teamspeak/forum accounts, as well as minecraft itself.


As I said above, it was a very tough decision, but something had to be done. Both players exhibited clear insubordination and the willingness to break off the clan to start a new one, both charter violations. Anyhow, I hope you all understand what happened, and if you have any questions about this, please feel free to ask. I dont want drama to occur and I want you guys to be informed on whats going on.

Digging more into it, it appears Zion has been attempting to hack our server but unfortunately found only sadness.

I'll miss them across the line but a the end of it it's their own fault for getting banned. It's a shame to lose Zion and spart I liked them, I didn't mind Zions attitude but they set the wrong card and that was their downfall.

It's a shame to see them go out that way (iygm?) after being quite good mates with them, or so i thought :P but you did what you had to do, so i have to say good job for that, i guess its for the better of the clan too as there is less risk of losing guests and members ect. (if any of that makes sense :P )

He was attempting to take some of our members to his server, although it does seem that he wants to start his own clan as well by setting up a website, TS and such. I will say one thing, for all of his self proclaimed knowledge regarding running Minecraft servers, he seemed to need a lot of information on how we run ours (plugins and such) so I believe it will only be time before he and the persons that choose to leave come back.

Vyn said they were banned from everything so I don't think they will be back any time soon. Also just because you have a website,server, and a ts doesn't make it a clan. It just makes it a community. BBF is a clan we wear our tags with pride and we are a clan because of it. A community is just a gathering place for people to play a game together which sometimes contains a clan or multiple clans even. I myself am a member of several gaming communities with websites and team speaks but I only wear one tag. In no way am I defending his actions. I am just trying to clarify the difference between a clan and a community so that people know they can still go play on other servers.

Zodiac we are all very aware of the differances between clans and communities.

There may have been a miss understanding in the pays I know vyn and duce have been running around dealing with this issue for almost 3 days now.

I have revived many texts and phone calls over the issue as well and will be joining the duce and vyn soon to keep protecting against zions continous attacks.
