With the minecraft community as a whole somewhat in shambles regarding multiplayer servers and such I have been giving our server some considerable thought.

As most of you know we own out own dedicated server with 32GB of RAM as well as 10 ip’s which costs us just over $80.00 US dollars each month.

The server has had very few donations and those who donate do so almost every month (Takenhell, and Kad). Just over a month ago both Kad and Taken donated $40.00 and I offered them a full refund because I felt there was no need for the server then however they both said “Chase it’s ok don’t send us our money”. Because of their generosity our server was paid thru the end of October.

As of yesterday I sent all the Officers saying that I felt it would be a good idea to drop the server until the MC community can create an API which will allow us to again make a updated playable server running 1.8 minecraft.

I also told the officers that if people chose to still donate than I will continue to keep the server running and will work on building things back up again.

I do feel Minecraft can make a second stand if we are willing to wait and work harder to because a better server.

Tis a dark day for those loyal to the minecraft division, but what has come upon us was bound to happen eventually. All great empires fall.

We aren't falling so long as we continue to have donations.

Kad has announced he is more than happy to continue to donate.

I do not want anyone to feel obligated to donate and I told Kad that and this was his reply.

I will continue to donate both money and time each month and hopefully have a end product for us.

As a side note I try to donate note time than money because it is something I can afford, however it is time taken away from the family, work, and social life Shi often times (like right now) I am taking some extended time away to do right by my family.

When I spend 20+ hours to working on the servers than pay $40.00 for half the server I get my tush into trouble (you will all understand when you get older). Because off this I do need too find a happy medium or sometimes I need to top the scales and do more with one or the other (IRL vs. BBF)

Well we have talked in the past about adding other games to the server Chaser. Instead of letting it go maybe we as a clan can look at hosting other games on it. The specs for it should run just about what ever we want.

I'll be commencing development of Behemoth 3.1 this weekend taking the focus from building the core(3.0) to working on enhancing the world and magic as well as consistency the plan for 3.2 does not include any world changes and will thus be an update to the 3.1 world, and I don't plan to work on 3.2 till late November(yes patches are slower) Physics despite it's fun gimmick in 3.0 will be removed for 3.1(unless there's an uproar to keep it)

I play everyday all that I have seen on is Hisgun and a few others from the old server, no Officer or only 1 other from the clan.

Itchy in response to your question. i work 60 hours a week and ive been volunteering 16 hours a week and by the time i get home i want to sleep .not to mention juggling school work. Plus helping siblings with homework i dont feel we even need minecraft anymore it is at its end for now. There is no 1.8 mods or anything that can be downloaded which is what people look for and i dont think we want a 1.7 server with mods because we dont know how many people are still in 1.7 so in all honesty who cares whos on the server. If your on you know how to police people and what the policys are and in the 3 years ive played with you gentlemen ive probably clocked in 2000 hours which have been dedicated to policing and building and helping be the well oiled and maintained machine it once was

Well said but to your point on me police people it is hard to do anything as just a player and no right on the server other than just play. I have seen a few more clan mates on and some of the old players we use to have but they want to play with others and we just cant get the one than come to play hook up with the others.

Once it starts to get colder out side and daylight a lot sooner I think we will get a few more playing longer (I hope).
