Minecraft 1.6 was created by [BBF]C5mith

Sometime next week, Minecraft version 1.6 will be put up for download and is called the "horse update". This version will include coal blocks, carpets, and horses.

I have heard that it will be from the 24th-30th. One of those seven days will host the 1.6 update.

There is a new item called a lead, and can be used to attach your horse/donkey/mule to a fence post, so no large pens need to be made, but you can if you want.

The majority of the additions besides the bug fixes are about the horses, mules, and donkeys.
