Play 1.5.2 and 1.6 was created by [BBF]Chaser

Since a new Minecraft update is coming soon i am going to suggest all of our members download and install MultiMC now so when the update comes its one less thing you need to worry about.

MultiMC is basicley a minecraft launcher that enables you to have more then 1 version. MultiMC also makes it easy to install texture packs and mods along with many other things.

Visit this Link to install MultiMC. They have plenty of help info and videos for you on their page.

Once installed simply click the "New Instance" button on the top left hand corner pick the version you wish to play and you are good to go.

If you have any other questions please ask myself or any other Minecraft staff here on the forums and we will be happy to help.

The new mc launcher will allow you to switch between versions. and you do need the new launcher to play 1.6

Very true but i have not heard if you will be able to select later versions like 1.5 1.4 and so on.

Either way we will find out at launch.

It will chase Jeb has tweeted out that in the future the new Minecraft launcher will be able to go all the way back to alpha.

A new launcher, great, I just dumped Magic Launcher for this MultiMC thing... I just hope bukkit works out to where there is no need for another server reset.

Good idea chase this way a lot of people that updated accidentally can reverse it much more easily. it would save us much more time.

I would say 1-2 months. Bukkit has released some dev builds however they must not be very stable because almost none of the plugin developers have released any dev builds.

We have to wait for Bukkit and then almost all of our plugin developers. Essebtials and towny are usually fairly slow so time will tell.
