Mike was complaining how town upkeep prices are to high, which in my opinion theyre not. Voting easily gives you 800 a day, which if you deposit 500 of that (which is the amount required by town upkeep taxes), you would still profit 200. Besides that, mining in the Lodemines for 15 minutes will easily yield you more than enough to keep it up for several days.

Anyhow, what are your opinions.....

I have been the sole provider of funds for our town as since Ms_Lynn and XinvisibleX has been putting in most of the labor.

I think that the prices are perfect and that between mining (which happens to be the theme of this game) and voting, no town should have an issue keeping up 500 dollars a day in rent.

Exactly my point DuCe. Within the last two days, I have made over 70K easily just by mining. The bulk of this income was from my player shop ( <3 Tj and Spartan), as well as selling small portions of various other ore to the server.

The reason I posted a SS of our town is to show how much money it takes and how quickly it can be earned.

Town: 35,000
Claiming all of the free 32 blocks @ 300: 9,600
Purchase 62 bonus blocks @ 500 each: 31,000
Claiming all of the 62 bonus blocks @ 300 each: 18,600

Total: 94,200.00

Hours spent Mining 9 (over 3 days), that is a total of 13,766.57 an hour

I like the idea of making each vote worth more. because it gets rid of some of the pressure for keeping up your town. it allows you to go off and do other things, than compete for better prices at the shops, or spend all day mining.

But exactly that. What pressure? Voting currently covers the price plus 200

If people live in your town you can also set a tax amount. 5 ppl in town then set your tax to 100.

I dont think mayors or assistance pay tax though i forget.

The mayor isnt the only one responsible for taxes

i think the price is fine just keep it the same then there is also less hassle in game to fix said things which means more game time.
