Just posting a few thoughts on the new patch.

The Yasuo nerfs are pretty much perfect in my eyes. The smallish increase in time needed to reach full flow should knock off some of his early lane dominance, and the range nerf on his ult (also small, only 100) makeshim a bit less able to feed off of other lanes. I like this stuff.

The Xerath rework looks pretty damn cool, love his new kit. Havent gotten to play it yet, but it looks good on paper.His ult outranges ziggs' now! The Skarner rework looks....to be honest it looks pretty abysmal to me. I think he still isnt going to see a lot of play. The 1000 range on his E is pretty much the only thing I like.

Mundo cleavers are skinnier. I LOVE this change. Its going to reward skilled play with mundo, while punishing baddies.Watch for cleavers coming through the minion wave folks!

The change to Ashe's E is pretty much QoL. No ones going to max it first, but its worth taking an early point in now, at least.

Evelynn got the Hate Spike nerf retracted a bit...should be ok. I know one person who wil be happy they gave it back some missile speed (looking at your Veric).

The Kayle "nerfs" aren't very glamorous. Yeah, Q lost %40 of its ratio. Sure. But now her W heals for a bit more, and the movespeed bonus scales off of AP. +7% per 100. Thats Not SO bad. But theyve removed her ult's mana cost. Wat. I don't like it. Her laning is going to be just as bad, since you cant run her oom and then kill her while shes unable to ult. Just my take on it.

Riven just took another small jab. Oh well. She'll still be able to carry if she makes through laning phase.

Rumble has fire, not meatballs. I lol'd.

Thresh had his auto range nerfed. Sadface. Its not so bad though, good thresh's shouldnt be too worried.

The Ziggs changes are justified. They didnt destroy him but they nerfed his waveclear a bit. Im ok with this.

Perserverance got literally %50 of shit taken away. But I think its still worth.

I find the last couple of patches quite interesting because of the newer direction Riot is taking towards their balancing of champions. They are not "olafing" (meaning nerfing to unplayability until they can fix the problems.) champions quite like they used to. Riot seems to rather hit areas that do no involve the core element of that champion, which is a very wise approach because it allows you to not piss off the community and keep your game more balanced.

Ziggs is a great example of not nerfing the core gameplay of Ziggs, they nerfed his early game harass with his passive and basically put the mines back where they were before they buffed them.

I think time will tell exactly how Riot handles season 4 but so far I would say they are being much less reckless with their balancing and hopefully we continue down that path.
