I personally want to know other player's builds are (considering I play Sion only) and want to know what your experiences are with them, just so I can achieve a feel of the different variations of champions.

It honestly depends on the champion and lane I'm playing, but as I main mid lane mages a few items I use are pretty core to most of them. One is Zhonya's hourglass, which has saved my life more than a few times. It's a very useful item that any ap can and should build, it's rare when I play an AP champion and don't buy this item. Other items I use often are Lich Bane, which is really good on Viktor as it makes your q incredibly deadly , Rabadon's Deathcap, which makes your AP go through the roof, Void Staff, mainly used if they're building tanky, Liandry's Torment, if you want your abilities to cause an afterburn, Nashor's tooth, mainly used if i need an ap to do damage with their auto attacks, and Deathfire Grasp, mainly used if I need to kill a single target really quickly with an AP. Rylai's Crystal Septer is also a good item, as it gives you health and makes your abilities slow people, but it's usually a late game item and in most games I don't get to the point where I build it. Those are probably my most used items for most of my favorite champs in mid lane, but a few, like Rod of Ages or Manamune I use for time to time for champs who need a lot of mana, like Kassadin.
But there's a lot of items out there, and I know that I've used pretty much all of them at LEAST once.

If given the chance I will always go for top lane and bot adc. For top I use Aatrox, hes extremely versatile. He has a slow and aoe knock-up which comes in handy for both single target and group fights. If I play bottom my champs almost always use the exact same builds which is: damage/crit/attack speed/lifesteal. Here's my typical adc build and Aatrox builds, items are in order that I rush.

ADC: Squishy, but carry build

Blood Thirster
Phantom Dancer
Last Whisper
Phantom Dancer


Aatrox: Off tank/damage
Hydra (I get this 99.99% of the time)
Sunfire Cape
Spirit Visage
Blade of Ruined King
Guardian Angel (my passive makes it so that I have to literally be killed twice before I respawn)

I play master yi and get phantom dancer. static shiv. infinity edge . Infinity edge. Bloodthirster. Last whisper. Yes two infinity edges
