So I recently got this done and wanted some feedback on what everyone thinks of it. This is pretty much my first one. Ever.

I figured I might as well take some hours out of my "totally busy" day to design a decent sig for myself.

Anything that seems like its taking away from the sig or if something is ruining it then please point it out.

I have always wanted to expand my skill with photoshop and making some sigs for myself seems like a great way to strengthen my knowledge of the program.

I also know that most people find a render on a site somewhere, but I like to take the original splash art and add effects to it. I guess it just look cooler and is easier for a noob such as myself.

I am aware that the text is not too easy to read, so just so you know, it says "guess what's about to hit the fan..." And it just flops over on its side as it goes parallel with the subtle purple stripes and leads into the awesomeness of Karma.

I also prefer the signature to be small. I don't like them when they're obnoxiously big and are maxed out for dimensions/resolution. Especially when you type a really short response as a reply to a post such as "yeaah sounds good" and your sig takes up so much room that all you see is the sig and you dont even notice the actual post he made since it would be so small and the sig would be so big. It's just the rules of design that eyes are drawn to something colorful and huge such as a massive sig tagged to a tiny line of text.

there was nobody online once I finished karma, so I decided to get to work on my second favorite champ.



This one I am a bit more peculiar about. I think I may have gone overboard with the graphics. My name looks pretty awesome, though. I actually considered using it as a sig of its own. At first it did not have the black border around it. I was originally going to use the magic wand tool and trim out the black text and just have the red rectangle with the cut-out of my name in it, but I really liked the hard black that comprised the lettering. It was really tough to read my name with it magic wanded like that, too, but I kinda liked it like that a bit. Made it tough to decode, ya know?

Try a different blend for your text layers. Both of them make the sig out of balance and takes away from the render.

This is exactly what I was going to say, the text is hard to read too. I'll go wip up a more smooth looking Sig, just for you to kinda see and understand, by no means will it be perfect and you dont have to use it, just an exemplar.

Karma

The white square with your name in it is kind of awkward lookin. Also, the tag line text become difficult to read due to the slant on an already thin and complex font. Barring those two things, it looks pretty good.

Galio

The tag text ends a little early. I think it should go completely to the side. Currently, it draws the eye to galio's crotch O.o I like the tagline text, but it's very busy. The combination of that, and the originals background to galio's art kind of makes it busy looking. You may look into just cutting out galio and putting him on a simpler background, and keeping the cool text.

They both look good! I hope my suggestions were helpful, but it's only one person opinion.

Also, people can feel free to give me any feedback on my current Ryze signature. I had lots of fun making it.

Tried to keep your theme of the purple, with cursive fonts, and smaller then forums maximums, and wiped this up

okay thank you for all the help and replies! I kinda prefer the text when it's hard to read so that's why i warped it so hard on karma, I suppose.

I played around a lot with the font for galio, but I ended up with the one i have right now because I liked the chaotic cluttered mess it gives off. I had it flat from one side to the other for awhile, but figured it looked coolest when distorted like that.

You also have a much dirtier mind than me if you notice that it points to glaios crotch. I just figured it pointed to galio himself, or at least his hand

and about my name in the corner for the karma sig: it was something I chose to go through with at the start of the design, but near the end I did notice it was quite out of shape/an eyesore, but I guess I just was too lazy to get the art back and patch it up or something. Might fix that up, I dunno.

the warped text is definitely staying, though. I like the transition into the sketchy effect of karma and the light purple. it just entices action, in my opinion. It also synergizes with the fan, since fans make wind and the text looks like its being affected by wind. :S just my thoughts



btw: where did you get the purple wallpaper from? is that homemade in PS or did you get that from some kind of site?

probably found a vector or fractal online and just used some touching up on it to make it look good in the backgruond, then did some overlays with layers. popped in the render, typed in the font and used some blending effects and there you go.
