tanks can be support, jungle or solo top. even mid depending on the enemy comp

Technically, Leona is a full tank that goes bot. The real issue when any character goes bottom is farm. AD's are sent bottom to be able to get as much gold as possible due to how Item dependant they are. Unless you plan on running near 0 cs, there is usually a more optimal generally strategy. Although, as Fel said, this is very dependant on the enemy team.

When I ranged AD bot I simply expect my support/tank to know when and how to initiate a fight, not take my damn cs, and ward. Thats pretty much it.

I wont lie though, I love having an Ali/Janna/Soraka. The kill lanes (Leona/Voli, etc.) are nice, but I much prefer sustain or a support that empowers the carry. It really all depends on the teamcomp.

I much prefer a true support over tank in bot. Though harass is nice, I'm able to last hit and harass and I'd rather keep my eye focused on the last hits, over trying to wittle down or outright kill an enemy. One problem I keep having with Ashe is that I'll fire my arrow across the map and lose focus on last hitting to watch my handiwork. Need to improve that.
