Hi everyone,

I'm rather new to LoL and newer to BBF. But here's the deal ... I'm trying to find new champs to play with at the moment.

I figured I'd just ask here for any advice. Not because I'm to lazy but rather to profit from your experience. There also might be gaps that need to be filled ... like a lack of support players, or w/e.

So yeah, any ideas?

Edit:
I almost forgot ... currently I'm playing Veigar (mid) as Main-Champ with mediocre success and I also tried Jungle-Shaco (great success in priv bot-games and major fail in public games).

Well, my best advice as someone in a similar position: Experiment a little. Try other champs and builds and see which ones you feel most comfortable with. For most of my matches, I've been going with Kayle and focusing on cooldown reduction and attack speed so as to make her Reckoning-Righteous Fury combo more potent. I may add AP to it just to give it more kick, but thats what I mean by experimenting. Take risks and try things till something clicks.

Hmm, thanks for answering. My problem isn't working myself into the single champs. It's more like the sheer mass of different heroes if I just start poking around it'll take ages to get anywhere. So ... basically ... what I'm looking for at the moment isn't something like "Hey play champ XY with the build ABC", but rather some hints, advices on what types of playing there are and what people with more experience would recommend on them.

One of the reasons why I'm asking here is, that I don't want to end up working myself into .... let's says for example bot support and find out that most people are playing it, while their may be a real demand on people playing top ... or something like that.

The most high demand to low play ratio I would have to say is jungler and support. Also jungler probably has the higher impact on the game out of the two. Most people are playing Ad carry or Mid, then top, then jungle, then support.

As for a jungle to play? Right now, the following are S tier junglers.
Udyr
Nocturne
Lee Sin
Alistar
Skarner
Shyvanna

Personally, I have a good amount of experience with Ali jungle, and a moderate amount with Nocturne, so I can gladly give you a hand.
For supports:
Soraka
Janna
Leona
Blitzcrank
Are all top tier. I play Soraka, but that's about it.

Take some of yur experience from other games as well. Generally the type of character you enjoy in another game is a good guide. Personally I always prefered some type of ranged character. I also like the stealthy characters, so someone like Twitch (Whose my favorite AD Carry at the moment) fits me well. I've always been pretty bad with a bruiser, but I can play just about anything with enough given time. So look at your past, or what type of "class" usually feels right and go from there. Any character can be viable if used correctly.

My suggestion would be to play as much as you can with free champs. don't spend IP or RP without knowing if you like the champ or not.

if you play a champ a couple times and decide the match was fun, put in the time to learn everything you can about the champ with guides and videos.

My suggestion for every new person is to play the hell out of bot games. Play every champ. If you don't own them wait till they are on free week then play em. If you don't know the mechanics and abilities of a champ you'll be hard pressed to counter them.

Leaguecraft and Lolking are popular, if you want to watch matches twitchtv is an excellent site for live streaming and links to high elo team sites. [hr:3euz0lbr][/hr:3euz0lbr]
Also, don't waste IP on runes until you reach lvl 20 and can get tier 3 runes. Save your IP or use it to unlock champions . I'd suggest saving it as a full tier 3 page is expensive.

Hmm, I know I should save my IP for the tier 3 runes ... and that's what I did initially ... but I started buying the tier 2 runes a bit ago, because I figured that I'm not loosing that much IP (T2 magic res glyphs are only 80 IP each for example) and once I hit lvl 20 I'll start replacing them one after the other.
