As many of you may have noticed, we are lacking in new players as of late. If you have any ideas about how we should get BBF's name out there, let us know. I make posts in the LoL forum semi-regularly, and James is working on some banners that anyone can put as their signature on forums or just as pictures in a recruitment post. Lay 'em on me fellas.

don't advertise drop the banner and picture ideal I would never join a clan that uses a banner/picture as a recruitment post I want a clan that is unique.

STEP 1 - you need to make a recruitment post that is unique it's got to be different from every other clans post on League of Legends get the person's attention you got to try and sell the clans motto an ideal make it at least four to five paragraphs long.

STEP 2 - BUMP the post everyday or every time its off the first PAGE - Every time your game is over look at the post to see where its at if not on first page bump again.

STEP 3 - go play a few normal games look for people who play together as a team then ask them if they looking for a clan chances are they will.

STEP 4 - Once you get a person on TS talk to them a lot make them feel at home play a few games with that person till they like the clan once that happens get him to make a post on the forums telling us more about them self if you get a person to write about them self the odds are they will stay with the clan longer bc we know them personally now - most people leave because we don't know them make them a friend and they will stay this is kind of hard because most people have their own little group of friends in the clan and most people don't want to enlarge this number to the extent that we want as a clan who wants to keep up with 50 friends online? but in my opinion that's what you have to do as a officer you need a lot of people skills to b a officer or at least a good one.

Overall that's what i did as GC it worked in my opinion obviously I had a few bad eggs that was due to my bad give them a chance and let's see what happens policy.

I'd partially disagree with step 2 in caliber's thread noones interested in a clan recruitment thread that's nothing but "bump" every 10 minutes. although noone will look at a thread on page 2 either

The issue with most of this, is it finds more players but it doesn't find quality players. I know that the clan is open to any skill lvl players, but the issue of the division now is that players aren't active. That is caused by most of our roster has plateaued in their game play, and it becomes boring to play with each other. Trolling normal games has a 1 in 1000 chance of finding someone of promise that also fits into the clan as a person. Though I agree that the peg banners are cheesy and a turn off.

I think what James and Leck are doing now is wise, by looking at other forums other than the official Riot forums. I feel like the riot forums is the obvious go to for everyone, but the quality players that are looking for the right place will open up their searches more, so natural laziness weeds out the riff raff.

We've got threads up on 4 different recruitment sites now, hopefully we get some applicants rolling in!

I would be happy to just ask some people on my friend list if they want to join in on a larger group to play with, might be nice to start pooling friends list into the clan. Or just ask good or nice players from my games, see if they might be interested.

Additionally to what's been said already ....

I would not drop the banner/picture attempt, but rather tweek it. Instead of using it to recruit, we can use it to make the clan better known. I admit, that some people might be turned down by things like this, as Caliber said. But if you keep seeing these banners combined with a positive impression that opinion might change. But yeah, to get to the point: Instead of recruitment banners, etc. we could have the BBF clan members use a standardized banner on the LOL-Forums and the like. Something like a trademark if you want. This doesn't only put the name BBF in peoples head, but also delivers an organized/professional impression of the clan, without actively advertizing.

Another possibility to attract people could be an open-house event. Invite the people to play with us on a non-commital basis. Something like, setting a date and host several events during that day allowing public to join. This has one major downside, though. It needs alot of preparation and all the involved members to actively work together on this (I'm aware that there are other problems involved, but there's no reason to discuss those, unless the idea 's actually considered to be executed). The beneficial part of this is, that we can attract even people that are turned down by the application procedure, or other stuff. They get a possibility to learn about the clan and get to know the members without any obligations involved.

I found BBF through my friend who is already a member. Through the clans i have run/joined the best way to get people to join is in game. I understand this is more difficult with LoL because people are not running around all over the place. I'm guessing BBF does have a LoL chat room, and if they do members should invite people to the room so they can chat with everyone. From my experience i know people like it when you treat them more like a friend then just another member.
