I have accumulated enough IP to buy any champ and I was thinking of grabbing a support champ. In your all's opinion, what's a good one to buy? I'd prefer one on the easier side to learn.

Depends what kid of support you want to play. There's supports that pretty much sit back and heal/buff e.g soraka There's others that initiate with grabs and stuns e.g thresh/blitz.

Taric is a great support with a heal and a stun but I hear he is very boring to play.

I would say find a champ that fits the way you want to play support and then just choose the one from that pool that looks most appealing to you.

Nami has a ton of cc but some heal. I like having her as a support when I'm adc.

lol I bought nami a few months ago with IP and refunded her. Best 6300 support imho is thresh if you can manage his Death Sentence. Nautilus is pretty awesome too. Rather similar to thresh, but with a far more versatile and reliable hook. It's on a 4sec cooldown at 40%cdr if you use it on a wall for escapes. Makes it really easy to leave when you want. I'd personally go nautilus over thresh just because he's more reliable. Thresh's ult can be blinked over, while nauts is guaranteed/alternate form of initiate if your Q missed. His stun also makes it easy enough for you to harass the enemy support by Hooking him/her then basicattacking and walking away. put on your shield to deter damage from the ADC if he/she decides to autoattack you a bit. Starting with cloth armor, wards and hp pots this should be easy. I personally take a full +40 armor runepage, then just go with 2 reju beads, hp pot and a ward and build the beads into warmogs. I like nautilus. I also like my +40 armorpage. =3

For an easy experience, there's always Soraka, but she isn't very good anymore. Taric is a good one. His play is simple but very useful. I like playing him a lot, but he's not for everyone. I, unlike some, just like to support in general. A Medium level support would probably be Blitzcrank. I would rank him Medium-Hard merely for the difficulty of mastering the grab, however his combo is very simple from there. Just remember to hit E before Q, that way you hit the enemy up right when he gets to you. For a Medium-Hard support I would suggest Lulu as she has decent CC. She's got a small shield, a silence/slow, another slow, and a huge health steroid ult. She is probably my favorite support! <3 Once you get used to supporting, I would say try out Thresh. Thresh has a plethora of skills that just make him the biggest utility support in the game. I'm not going to mention everything he has. (There's too much.) He is however, very hard to master. If you need advice on almost any support, you can ask me. For Thresh specifically, ask Guardian. He's a pretty good Thresh player, plus I don't play him all that often.

PS. Janna is a good Medium-Hard one as well!

PSS. Of course there are more than this! These are just my personal favorites. Just find someone that you are comfortable playing and go from there!

I tried Soraka just because she was cheap to unlock. She's way too passive for my taste.

Everyone forgets leona ;-; PRAISE THE SUN. Okay , she is most definitely not a support for everyone due to her "aggressive" playstyle.

She is the epitome of the all in champions in the support role. Her entire purpose is to reach through the lines and stunlock either the carry of mage.

She is my personal favorite to support with but unless you have a balls-to-the-wall playstyle I would advise against her.

Maybe I should just stick to Kayle. Did fairly well with her tonight. I may try Leona again, I remember liking her awhile back.
