Hi guys i said a while back that i'd buy the standalone when released as i couldn't wait i bought Arma 2 CO while it was in the steam summer sale and I'm just waiting for them to download :/ (jeez they take ages) anyway i was wondering if i could join you guys sometime, and was kinda looking for some advice on what you think the best way to install dayz is and should i use dayz commander?, ect...? (basically i have no clue what im doing :P )

I would go with DayZ Commander. It is a little easier to understand then the other launchers.

Yeah they help with the basic controls. One thing to not do when playing DayZ that a lot of people forget is to not get attached to your gear.

I remember when I first started playing dayz (approx 1 year ago).

I never heard of the arms series but got the games to play dayz.

It was a bit of a learning curve because the control and inventory system are not as conventional as you would like.

However after playing for a week or so it became second nature to me.

Anyway back on topic. I recommend watching a couple YouTube vids of people playing dayz to get the general idea of where is good and where to avoid on the chenarus map.

Also join in with us dayz members whenever you can and we can show you the ropes.

If you need driving lessons for any vehicle ( land, air, sea) ill be happy to teach you. Just ask the others how great I am and you will be begging for a lesson!

Ok thanks guys :) just got to download operation arrow head tonight and ill be nearly all set lol (btw im british so with timezones and stuff ill probs be on later at weekends and the holidays which is in 1/2 a week :D and yeah ill have some driving lessons :) :P or shouldnt I? ;)
