I will try to keep this short and sweet. (that wont happen)

I'm stepping down from GC of Day Z simply because I feel I am wasting my time here. I've been through thick and thin with this division after the hayday that Winter tried to manage when Day Z flopped the first time... We went from strict and rigid rules for all our members to poll systems and freedom to play however you want to play...

Ultimately i've seen that no matter what i've done for this division, it still ceases to grow. I've tried advertising on many forums.. promoting our server and BBF... We had a community forming before, but ultimately that went away as well. We've tried whitelisting servers, passworded server, every map in existence we tried to see if it was more popular or not.... any gimmick we could think of to possibly draw more attention to the division. I've been told more times than not, that my methods on the forum do nothing but scare off potential members and players and that I am too abrasive with my words. I do not argue that.

But if any of this is to be believed as true. Then perhaps its time for somebody else to take the reigns and give it a go. I'm done being the one that may or may not be limiting this divisions success. I'm done being the guy thats looked to to fix this division when really I see no concrete way of doing so... It is a dying game in my eyes... It will continue to be that way until the standalone comes out... Then I imagine there will be 30+ people playing again... and months will go by.. and people will drop off just as before... Hacking will somehow come back to challenge the standalone and people will leave from hacking.. then they will come out with different maps and playstyles... third person on or off servers, etc etc.... Our playerbase will be split by those who want it one way and those who want it another way... the division between the two play styles will grow more and more until the "not as hardcore" players grow bored and drop off, leaving only the half a dozen few that still play the game for the challenge and not for the gear stockpiling.

That is the trend a game like this takes when people are given more and more options for playstyles.


This division was huge when the game was in its infancy... there were only a handful of servers and the choices were limited... Our server was popular.. it was always full of people.. Half the time I could not even log in because it was capped... Now we have thousands of choices to choose from...

"500+ vehicles!!".... "HELIS FOR EVERYONES!"... "STARTER KIT SO YOU DONT HAVE TO DO SHEET"... "NO ZOMBIES!!!!"... "NO PVP!!!!".... "NO HACKERS!!!"...

There aren't millions of players anymore on Day Z like it used to be... There are enough servers for everyone to have their own, almost... How do you stand out?


I thank everyone for keeping with it, if you have... It is time for someone more competent, apparently. After nearly a year, I haven't figured it out.

That's a load of BS Lue I think you have done a great job considering what you have to work with. I don't think anyone could do any better a job then you have.

I forbid you from stepping down. Wait until stand alone is released. If we still can't raise the server/community population after that then make the call, but not before that point.

I am very sad to see this however i know you have gone thru your struggles and i think even so you were a great GC and kept things going even when the player base was not there.

This post to step down is denied. I have spoken to Lue in TS and I feel things shall be talked about further. I do not allow people to be demoted or step down easily unless there are violations of the Clan Charter and those violations are investigated unless its to spend time with family!!!

I am not locking this post at this time. If there are comments that incite arguments then I will do so. I respect the privacy of all leaders as well as the opinions of all members that are concerned with this issue or any in the future and will handle them accordingly.
