i cant connect to the server. its not the internet..(obviously) its not the minecraft servers cuz Lysenko is in the server..
im stumped... can someone help me..?

Just because someone is on a server does not mean its on your end. When the minecraft login servers go down everyone already logged in stays logged in until they log off then they cannot connect either.

There are about 5 servers you login to while logging onto our minecraft server.

Try closing your Minecraft then opening it again.
If all else fails (And Vyndorn's link does too) Delete your Minecraft (So its in the Recycling Bin) Then restore it from there. That should work.

the minecraft login servers are still unde rmaintenance currently, i havent head of an estimated repair time but it seems to be about 6 hours average, maintenance is due to major overhaul in wake of 1.5 prep and scrolls.

As Corrupt said, the servers have been down almost the majority of peoples playing times (ie: after work or school)
