Should solo always be top?

Should solo always be top? was created by [BBF] Siiepher

I've been thinking for quite a while now, that how the map is symmetrical. Should solo always be top, even if you are on purple team? I know it is harder to gank the top lane if you are on blue team. And the opposite is true about the purple team, so shouldn't purple team send their solo to bottom lane?

I'm no guru wizard of league or anything, but wouldnt sending two top and one bottem (or vise versa) only lead to ganking?

If it is 1v1 on the top, then it would be semi-fair fight (depending of the classes/skill of player) but if you can dog pile somebody, then that is no longer in the question.

Well yeah, it just seems like solo top on purple team has a disadvantage to me, because it's easier to gank top if you are on blue team.

This. However if you have a jungle who starts red buff and a high sustain tanky type you can make solo bot work.

It's also good to use 2 high burst champs top.

Often what will happen is the enemy jungle will have to come cove or lose a turret in 5 or less.

Though losing a turret early is not always a bad thing. Yes, it puts you down a turret, but it also enables whomever is in that lane to either farm more minions (as the balls tend to get bigger) or roam and gank/support other lanes, whereas the top guys still have the concern of their turret getting overrun.

Granted, I'm all for dropping Mid and Top turrets as fast as possible... as long as the enemy bot turret sticks around for a while. <XD

If you drop the top fast you rotate the person with the lowest sustain bot and leave the other top to keep them in lane. That way you keep top pushing and have great gank opportunities since they have a long run to safety.

My thoughts on the topic, If you were to send a solo bot against a supp/ad carry it would have to be super passive but then so would their solo top against your duo. Having said that if you send your ad/supp bot against their ad/supp bot and yours is better you win that lane as well as if you send your solo top against theirs and he/she is ALSO better and they win their lane that leaves the jungler to watch where he is needed such as if mid was having stress or if he wants to counter jungle. In my opinion it all comes down to winning your lanes whatever they are, if you win your lane it free's your jungle up and he doesn't have to babysit any lanes. That however is a perfect world and is not always so. :) Just play strong have fun and win games.

There's actually a reason for 1 top 2 bot. The two bot are suppose to (they don't always do) keep an eye on dragon. You have two bot that way if the enemy team tries for baron you have more players nearby to interrupt or mop up. This is also why pro teams say the moment you see three enemies top you take dragon, because they're too far away to do anything.
